Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your SpotKonnect account and what happens to your data.
Before You Delete
Please note that account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before proceeding, consider the following:
- All your profile information will be permanently deleted
- Your connections will be removed
- All posts, comments, and reactions you've created will be deleted
- You will lose access to all your data and content
- Your username may become available for others to use
How to Delete Your Account
1Open the SpotKonnect App
Launch the SpotKonnect mobile application on your device and ensure you're logged in to the account you wish to delete.
2Navigate to Settings
Tap the "Settings" tab in the bottom navigation bar to access your account settings.
3Scroll to Delete Account
Scroll down to the "Account" section and tap the red "Delete Account" button at the bottom.
4Type DELETE to Confirm
Read the warning message carefully, type DELETE (in capital letters) in the text field, then tap the "Delete" button to permanently delete your account.
What Happens After Deletion
Immediate Effects
- Your account will be immediately deactivated
- You will be logged out of all devices
- Your profile will no longer be visible to other users
- You will no longer receive any notifications
Data Deletion Timeline
In accordance with our Privacy Policy, your personal data will be permanently deleted according to the following timeline:
- Immediately: Your account and all associated data (profile, posts, connections, comments, reactions) are permanently deleted from our active database
- Within 30 days: Complete deletion from all backup systems and caches
- Retention exceptions: Some data may be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy
What We Retain
Certain limited information may be retained for legal and operational purposes:
- Transaction records (required for financial regulations)
- Legal communications and records (if applicable)
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics data (non-personally identifiable)
- Information required to comply with law enforcement requests
Download Your Data
Before deleting your account, you have the right to download a copy of your data:
- Go to Settings → Account Settings
- Tap "Download My Data"
- Select the data you want to download
- You'll receive an email with a download link within 24-48 hours
- The download link will be valid for 7 days
Reactivating a Deleted Account
Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you change your mind:
- You'll need to create a new account
- Your previous data, connections, and content will not be recoverable
- Your previous username may or may not be available
- You'll start fresh with a new profile
